As a chef, it was challenging because it restricted what I could eat.
But it fired me up too, and I went crazy at our local farmers market buying every vegetable I ever wanted to cook and all kinds of meats that I hadn't cooked since being in fine dining.
Everyone at the gym was jealous of our saffron cauliflower rice with braised short rib and fennel reduction (you're welcome, Sarah), while they lived off grilled chicken and steamed broccoli.
A few folks there asked me if I could make more of the meals I was making and bring them to the gym, and they would pay for them.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Where are we headed?
On September 26, Pete's Paleo, that you know and love, will become Pete's Real Food.
We're eager for more people to enjoy the same delicious, nutritious meals that you have enjoyed since 2012.
But it can be quite difficult and time consuming for people with dietary restrictions to enjoy healthy food. To make it more difficult, it's hard to figure out what you can and can't eat.
So, Sarah and I are taking the next step. We're going to take the guesswork out of the equation and make good quality food more accessible to more people.
What does this mean?
In addition to our Paleo dishes, Pete's Real Food will cater the same uncompromising quality and delicious meals to people with diverse nutrition needs including:
- Keto
- Vegan
- Autoimmune Protocol (AIP)
What does this mean for you if you're on a subscription?
Sarah and I will continue to deliver the food you want, the way you want it.
The cut-off date for when you order meals is the only change. Starting Sunday, September 25th, instead of it being Monday, it will be Sunday - one day earlier.
And you still receive your food by Thursday or Friday.
Do you have friends who'd benefit?
We don't ask for much. But we would love for you to take a minute to think about your friends who might benefit from the same quality foods that you enjoy. Please send them our way and ask them to give us a try.
That's it from me for now. Keep an eye out for emails from us. We'll communicate more changes next week.
Cheers,
Pete
